BJP Wins Both Rajya Sabha Seats: Maruti Courier Owner Rambhai Mokria, Who Became MP For Five And A Half Years, Has Assets Worth Rs 388 Crore, Dinesh Prajapati, Who Became MP For Two And A Half Years, Owns Rs 82 Lakh

In Gujarat, BJP has 9 out of 11 Rajya Sabha seats and Congress has 2 seats

 

In the Rajya Sabha elections, the BJP has won both the seats as the Congress has not fielded a single candidate. However it will be officially announced now. Meanwhile, BJP's Rajya Sabha candidate Ram Mokria has assets worth Rs 388 crore. According to the affidavit submitted with the nomination paper in the Rajya Sabha, Ram Mokria has submitted the details of the total family property in the name of himself and his wife Shobhanabahen. Mokria's annual income for the year 2019-20 is 11.43 crore while his wife's income is shown as 1.11 crore.

 

One of the BJP candidates in the Rajya Sabha is a billionaire while the other candidate Dinesh Prajapati has assets worth Rs 82 lakh. Ram Mokria, who runs a courier company, also owns a Smith & Wesson brand revolver. He has stated in his affidavit that not a single criminal case has been registered against him. Both Ram Mokria and his wife, who studied up to BA LLB, are involved in business. Ram Mokria has 130 crore non-agricultural land. 14 crore in the name of his wife while the family owns land worth Rs 51 crore.

 

In addition, Mokria owns a residential and commercial building worth Rs 17 crore. He owns 6.25 crore houses in his wife's name. The 5.50 crore house is owned by his family. He and his family have total immovable property worth Rs 337.75 crore. The house in which Rambhai lives is worth Rs 10 crore. In addition, he and his family have movable assets worth Rs 50.60 crore, including a vehicle and cash. He has a debt of Rs 1.76 crore. But Rambhai does not have a single four wheeler in his name. The only one they own is an Activa scooter. His family owns a Toyota Innova car.
